Kim Weaver is from Follansbee, WV and after a 23-year career in Radio Advertising, she started her own Advertising Agency in 2000, Weaver Media Group.  She is a widow and has one  biological son, Lakin who partnered in the agency with his design talents.  Her family has extended to  bonus son Justin, his wife Jessenya, who made her ‘Mima’ to Alaiya…and coming in Febuary, a new grandson with bonus daughter Breona and her husband Paul.

     In 2006, after 13 years on the Board of Directors at the Weirton Christian Center, and working with children at church for 18 years, she was appointed Executive Director at Weirton Chrsitian Center.  Starting with approximately 45 children in all programs,  the Weirton Christian Center has grown to serving over 200 children annually from the age of 3 to 18, and their families.   They offer van transportation, lunch, dinner, basic necessities and more. After 106 years of service, in September 2023 –the  Center continues to see needs and try to fill them, especially for those in low-income families. According to Kim, “God has SHOWED UP through His power and people to provide the financial and spiritual support we have needed over the years to do all that we need to do.”  

   In Matthew 25, Jesus explicitly tells us to care for the “least of these” as if it were Him. Kim’s belief is that programs that provide for children’s needs – spiritually, physically and mentally, will be what makes the DIFFERENCE in their lives, and ultimately the community, the world.”

And this is the victory that has overcome the world our faith...
