Yes, non-citizens do in fact vote in our elections

Federal authorities in Philadelphia have arrested an illegal immigrant, Mahady Sacko, a fifty year old citizen of Mauritania, for allegedly voting in seven federal elections since 2008. The Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Justice announced the charges following a joint investigation by the FBI and Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Records reveal that Sacko was ordered to be removed from the country in 2000, but he remained in the United States under supervision because officials could not obtain a travel document for his deportation.
The criminal complaint states that Sacko successfully registered to vote in 2005 by falsely claiming to be a United States citizen on multiple occasions. He is accused of casting ballots in person during the general elections of 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020, and 2024. Furthermore, documentation shows he participated in the 2016 and 2020 primary elections. This case brings to light a massive failure in the current system, as an individual under federal deportation orders was able to influence American leadership for nearly two decades without detection.
Non-citizens voting in a primary is sufficient reason for the immediate passage of the SAVE America Act. The current infrastructure is dangerously flawed and lacks the necessary proof of citizenship requirements to stop foreign nationals from participating in the democratic process. This is not just a local issue in Pennsylvania but a national security crisis that demands a total overhaul of how we verify every single person who steps into a voting booth.
We are seeing the proof right in front of us that our system is wide open to fraud. When someone who does not even belong in this country can cancel out the legal votes of citizens for eighteen years, it is clear the machines and the registration rolls are broken beyond belief. We must put an end to this madness and protect the sanctity of the ballot. It is time to get serious about proof of citizenship and secure our elections once and for all so that the American people are the only ones deciding our future.
