President Donald Trump celebrated his 80th birthday on Sunday at the White House with a once-in-a-lifetime sporting event on the South Lawn.

UFC Freedom 250, the long-anticipated fight night at the People’s House, was a patriotic celebration, complete with a Super Delta formation flyover featuring the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels over the nation’s capital.

The event was threatened by thunderstorms in the D.C. area, but the weather let up long enough to allow the fight to go on.

“The UFC at the White House last night was incredible,” President Trump wrote on Truth Social. “The weather was scheduled to be horrendous, and it turned out to be PERFECT! So much for weather predicting.”

According to ESPN, Justin Gaethje claimed the big win against Ilia Topuria in the lightweight championship, while Ciryl Gane won against Alex Pereira for the heavyweight title.

“The Fighters were outstanding — Bo Nickal, Justin Gaethje, Ciryl Gane, Sean O’Malley, Josh Hokit, Mauricio Ruffy, and Diego Lopes were all unbelievable!” President Trump said. “Most people have never seen anything like that kind of human speed and power before.”

UFC CEO and owner Dana White walked out to the event alongside President Donald Trump, sporting a wide grin during the National Anthem and subsequent flyover.

Following the historic fight, upon being asked if he would take UFC to the White House again, White quipped, “I can’t afford it! There’s no f*cking way we can do this again…I’ll never do the Sphere again, and I’ll never do this again.”

The event was a smashing success in terms of metrics. Per ESPN, White confirmed that the event recovered its $60 million production cost. The fight was broadcast exclusively on Paramount, but the ratings for the stream haven’t been made available at this time.
