Release the…Alien Files? POTUS makes surprising declaration
Amid political tumult and endless discussions over the recently released Epstein Files, President Trump said he will direct federal agencies to release data on extraterrestrial life

The subject of aliens, once relegated to the realm of science fiction and fantasy films or novels, has become mainstream over the past few years, and the latest declaration by President Donald Trump has put the topic back in the spotlight.
“Based on the tremendous interest shown, I will be directing the Secretary of War, and other relevant Departments and Agencies, to begin the process of identifying and releasing Government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs), and any and all other information connected to these highly complex, but extremely interesting and important, matters,” the president said in a statement late Thursday night.
The subject of UFOs and UAPs has garnered much speculation from the public over the past few decades, but especially after recent congressional hearings focused on testimony about these phenomena.
Just last year, several witnesses appeared before the House Oversight Subcommittee and gave their statements about their alleged experiences with UAPs, further heightening public interest in the already mysterious topic.
According to Defense Scoop, these witnesses shared information about unexplained lights or objects in the skies – objects that seem to defy what humanity understands about physics and modern weaponry.
One such testimony, from U.S. Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer Alexandro Wiggins, discussed an alleged incident in 2023 aboard the USS Jackson:
“What I observed and what our crew recorded was not consistent with conventional aircraft or drones, as they appear on our system. A self-luminous Tic Tac-shaped [object] emerged from the ocean before linking up with three other similar objects. The orb then disappeared simultaneously with a high, synchronized, near-instantaneous acceleration.”
In 2025, there were over 4,000 documented UAP sightings worldwide, according to data compiled by the National UFO Reporting Center.
“I was with my grandpa i look up and i see this like star but it was moving really fast i was going in zigzag and then is just gone,” one testimony, logged from Sweden, read in December.
Another testimony, this one logged in San Diego, California, read, “Blinking round red light in the sky houvered then moved up, down & sideways. Blinked red, turned white 4 times during 3 minutes.”
There are countless testimonies of alleged UAP sightings every day, and as Congress has continued to explore the subject and President Donald Trump has now ordered the release of potentially revealing files on these sightings, the nation may be in for an overload of UFO information.
