President Donald Trump is reinventing the vision for an America 250 concert series aimed at celebrating the nation’s upcoming 250th birthday celebration.
“On Wednesday, June 24th, at 7 P.M., in magnificent Washington, D.C., now totally beautified, and one of the Safest Cities anywhere in the World, and in celebration of our Country’s 250 Year History, we will be bringing you, LIVE, the Greatest Rally, EVER! It will be special at every level — A Rally to end all Rallies!” the president wrote in a statement this week.
This announcement comes days after the original concert series lineup, initially set to perform throughout a 16-day “Great American State Fair” on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., largely dropped out of their commitments.
As reported by LindellTV, artists like Martina McBride, Bret Michaels, and Young MC announced just last week that they would be pulling out of the event, broadly citing alleged partisan politics as the underlying factor in their decision.
“We don’t want singers with no talent, but big fees to put you to sleep, we’ve told them all to stay home,” President Trump said in his statement, taking a swipe at the artists who backed out.
He continued, “All we want is you, me, a few speakers, and the Greatest Music ever played, the same Music you have listened to for years!”
The president also announced the following lineup in his statement:
- Lee Greenwood. The singer will perform his hit song, “God Bless the USA.” This has been President Trump’s introduction song for many years,
- Christopher Macchio. An American tenor, he performed often for President Trump during the 2024 presidential campaign. The president said Macchio will be performing songs like Nessun Dorma, Hallelujah, and Ave Maria,
- The U.S. Army Band,
- The Armed Forces Choir,
- The “President’s Own” United States Marine Band.
The rally will feature President Donald Trump himself as the headliner. The 16-day Great American State Fair event, scheduled for June 25 to July 13, appears to be moving forward, minus the original acts.
