Mike Lindell gets Supreme Court win

By Easton Martin | January 15, 2026

The Supreme Court has declined to hear the case against Mike Lindell over his 2021 election challenge, effectively letting stand a lower court ruling that frees him from paying a five million dollar prize. The case stemmed from Lindell’s “Prove Mike Wrong” contest, in which he offered the reward to anyone who could disprove his claims about foreign interference in the 2020 election.

Software engineer Bob Zeidman submitted evidence and an arbitration panel had initially ruled in his favor. A federal judge upheld that ruling, seemingly putting Lindell on the hook for the payout. However, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals later overturned the decision.

The appeals court ruled that the arbitration panel had in fact relied on outside promotional language instead of the actual written contract. Under Minnesota law, the court said the contest rules had to be interpreted strictly as written. Since the official rules did not specify the type of data Zeidman claimed to provide, the court found he did not technically meet the contract terms.

By refusing to take up the case, the Supreme Court allowed that ruling to stand.
