China has a new strategy to get at the U.S.

Keir Starmer’s recent caving to Beijing reveals exactly how much he dislikes Donald Trump. The British Prime Minister seems willing to overlook nearly anything to distance the UK from the incoming US administration.

In the context of Starmer and Xi’s meeting, the fact that Starmer mentioned environmental cooperation is particularly pathetic given the well-documented extent of China’s pollution.

China has a clear strategy here. Beijing sees the United States getting stronger and needs a way to mitigate that pressure. They are using the United Kingdom as a shield. The Chinese Communist Party understands that the best way to counter a resurgent America is to target US allies led by weak leaders.

They are looking for politicians who are desperate enough or foolish enough to be deceived by promises of cooperation.

Starmer fits the profile perfectly. By entertaining this partnership, he signals that personal disdain for the American president matters more to him than geopolitical reality.

He is walking into a trap where the UK serves as a pawn for Chinese interests. Beijing has no intention of actually following through on green initiatives or fair trade. They simply want to fracture the Western alliance.

The UK is being positioned as a wedge against US power. This is not a diplomatic breakthrough. It is a strategic error born of weakness. Leaders who cannot see this game are dangerous to their own nations. Starmer thinks he is building a new global partnership.

In reality, he is just providing cover for a rival power that fears American strength. The British people deserve leadership that recognizes the true nature of this threat rather than one that falls for such transparent maneuvers.
