Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived on Monday at the White House in Washington, D.C., where he was greeted by President Donald Trump.

The prime minister’s arrival was conspicuously absent of a ceremonial Color Guard, which appeared to be a deviation from tradition.

Typically, the ceremonial unit, which is often made up of members from different branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, guards the United States flags, as well as the flags of visiting foreign dignitaries.

“There’s no color guard,” said Steve Bannon, host of “War Room,” while watching footage of PM Netanyahu’s arrival on Monday.

Bannon continued, “I’ve never seen a leader of a country, particularly one that’s supposedly an ally, show up to the working door of the West Wing where the president greets – and the president did come out and greet – with no color guard. That is sending a signal. I’ve never seen it done before.”

Bannon suggested that PM Netanyahu was holding an important conversation on Monday with President Trump about a proposed peace deal that’s on the table right now.

“I think the discussion goes back to the 21-point plan that he put forth to the Arab nations in sidebar meetings,” he said.

Indeed, the two leaders were expected to discuss a 21-point peace plan to bring an end to the conflict between Israel and the Gaza Strip, which has caused much carnage and bloodshed since the Hamas terrorist invasion of the Holy Land in 2023.

While greeting the prime minister, President Trump was asked by the press if “everyone” was on board with the 21-point plan. The president appeared to reply that he was “confident” they were.

Shortly following PM Netanyahu’s arrival in D.C., the White House provided a readout of a trilateral call between the Israeli prime minister, President Trump, and Prime Minister Al Thani of Qatar.

Netanyahu expressed “deep regret that Israel’s missile strike against Hamas targets in Qatar unintentionally killed a Qatari serviceman.”

Further, in accepting Netanyahu’s assurances, Thani said Qatar was ready to “continue contributing meaningfully to regional security and stability.”
