An update on where the Nancy Guthrie investigation stands

The search for Nancy Guthrie, the 84 year old mother of NBC Today show co-host Savannah Guthrie, has entered its third week as federal and local investigators pursue new forensic leads in Tucson, Arizona.
Authorities are currently focusing on DNA results from a black glove found near the Guthrie residence that appears to match one worn by a masked suspect seen on doorbell camera footage. The FBI recently sent the item for expedited testing and is awaiting official confirmation of a male DNA profile.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos confirmed that investigators are also coordinating with Walmart management to track the origins of a 25 liter Ozark Trail Hiker Pack. Surveillance video from the night of the disappearance shows a suspect wearing the specific backpack while prowling outside the Guthrie home. This development follows a series of intensified law enforcement actions, including a federal search warrant executed at a residence approximately two miles from the crime scene on February 13.
While one individual was briefly detained for questioning and a vehicle was seized, no arrests have been made. The case began on February 1 when Guthrie was reported missing after failing to attend a church service. Physical evidence at the home included bloodstains on the front porch and a disconnected security camera. Technical data revealed that Guthrie’s pacemaker disconnected from its monitoring application at 2:28 a.m. that morning, suggesting she was moved from the premises.
Recent reports indicate that investigators have largely ruled out family members as suspects. Although two ransom deadlines have passed without further contact from the purported abductors, the Guthrie family remains hopeful. The FBI has increased the reward for information to 100,000 dollars as the community remains on high alert.
