Governor Greg Abbott has issued a directive freezing all new H-1B visa petitions for state agencies and public universities through 2027. This order is the decisive action on national sovereignty that the conservative base demands. Texas is now actively prioritizing its own citizens over foreign labor in taxpayer-funded roles.
For decades, the H-1B program has facilitated the displacement of skilled American workers. Corporations and state institutions often utilize this visa category to bypass domestic talent in favor of cheaper international labor.
