It was over 100 degrees during the 2007 Chicago marathon when Sarah Schieber’s husband, Chad, dropped to the ground and died within minutes. Sirens blared as runner upon runner collapsed in the heat, yet Sarah wouldn’t know about Chad’s passing until hours after the grueling marathon had finished. Now Sarah, an accomplished singer, and author reveals how her faith in God helped her survive widowhood at just 33 years old. She describes the peace that God gave her while she assisted her three young children in walking through the grieving process of losing their father. Sarah also explains how the American version of what God’s faithfulness looks like has been adulterated. “I want to say to them, my husband is dead - yet God is faithful,” Sarah says.
