This past week marked five years since January 6, 2021 and there are still questions that have never been answered.

Why have the police involved in the death of Rosanne Boyland never been investigated? And why do most Americans still not know her name? Ashli Babbitt was not the only woman who died that day at the hands of police. Another woman died inside the U.S. Capitol. Her name was Rosanne Boyland. The Biden administration and the mainstream media told the public she died of a drug overdose. But eyewitnesses, use-of-force experts, and her family dispute that claim — and the video evidence directly contradicts it. Rosanne Boyland died after an encounter with violent January 6 police in the Lower West Terrace tunnel. Video shows she was struck in the forehead with a pepper ball at close range, gassed by police, and trampled after officers shoved a trapped crowd that had nowhere to go. As she lay unconscious on the ground, Boyland was beaten with a stick by Capitol Police officer Lila Morris before she was later pronounced dead. Does that sound like a drug overdose to you? To add insult to injury, Trump supporters who tried to help Boyland were attacked by police, later arrested, and locked up as political prisoners under the Biden administration. There has never been an independent investigation. Her death was ignored by the January 6 Select Committee. And the official record has never been corrected. Five years later, the truth is still buried. Rosanne Boyland’s death was allowed to go uninvestigated for two reasons: she was a Trump supporter, and she believed the 2020 election was stolen. After January 6, accountability was selective — and so was compassion. And if Biden’s former government, Democrats, and the January 6th Select Committee can lie about the death of an innocent woman who died on camera on the steps of the U.S. Capitol, then every American should be asking these questions: what else have they lied about — and what were those lies meant to cover up?
